A Chrome extension that translates spoken conversation in real time during a call. I built it for myself: I work in English every day with people who speak it faster than I can read it, and no meeting waits for you to catch up.
Why it is here
It is not a product and I am not pretending it is one. It is in this portfolio because it is the clearest example of how I actually use AI: something I wanted did not exist, so I built it in my own time rather than adding it to a wish list. Latency, not accuracy, turned out to be the whole design problem — a translation that is correct but four seconds late is useless in a conversation, because by then the topic has moved.

Latency was the design problem
A translation that is correct but four seconds late is useless. By then the conversation has moved on.
